Ammunition box coffee table. This Ammunition box is 41" long, 16" wide 12" high plus 6 " I legs. I made a sugar pine top for over the box top. Looks great. It has the lettering on the side which says. 120 MM -- 356 W/Fuze -- M 572 propelling charge M45 For Gun M58 . From what I understand it held on shell the full length and about 8 or 10 inches around. The shell or gun does not come with the box. You may find one in eBay tho. I still have to put 2 or 3 coats of finish on the top, to do that will take a copule more days.

Lamp Table, Got the top glued up, sanded, distressed and stained. The legs are made. 2 1/2" square and the apron are all glued together and stained. I need to order some more stain. It is a water based stain that is used for treating fish illness or making explosives. It also is a good water based brown stain. It is purple in color when it goes on then turns to a brown pretty quick. Most cabinets shop use this.

Restoring 13 Mission oak chairs. I got them all done, out the door and paid for. She has 3 more for me to do that her daughter has. She will drop them off at some point. There where about 5 different Mission styles in the bunch. After all these years the glue was gone. In a lot of cases they put small nails in the joints to hold them together.

In one case there was 4 nails in one corner joint. There where a lot of dowel ends broken of so I had to drill out the ends and put new dowels in one or both ends. I used a lot of wood peg covers to cover the screws in the backs. She did not want me to refinish the chairs but when I had finished the work on them I would rub them down with wax which made them look a lot better.

I found the manufactures names on two of them. There was some great histories of the chair manufactures. It was quick and easy to do with Google search engine.

3 legged telephone stand and dresser mirror holder. The top of the telephone stand was broke in half so I stripped and glued and stained it and varnishing it next. The stain is drying tonight. I should get two coats of polyurethane on it tomorrow, I hope. I had to re-glue all the joints.

The dresser mirror holder had one side broken that I got re-glued and touched up the finish.

Planter box and End table. are still left to do.

Gardening My new garden soil mix seems to be working. The rhubarb is growing grate. I got the horse radish in and just put in a bundle of Walla Walla Sweet onions this afternoon. Tomatoes in the green house seem to be doing OK. I think I started them to early. Looks like 3 or 4 out of 52 may not make it. All this rain is helping a lot. much more to do.
